Getting ready for our big launch in September

We have had a large number of comments and constructive feedback from all of our current members with regards to new functionalities that they would like to see on My Dostana. Our goal is to include all of these functionalities over the coming weeks and prepare for a big launch in September.

What you will see are new services that focus on enhancing the gay community segment of our site. Our focus will be on ensuring that My Dostana embodies the following key values - Trust, Safety, Security and Inclusiveness. We are also in talks with gay friendly businesses, multinationals that have diversity and inclusiveness programs and health and legal professionals who focus on the gay community in India. They want to be involved with us and we will feature them on our site so that our members can have access to them.

We have been live for exactly a week and are so proud to welcome new members to My Dostana on a daily basis. It is great to see you engaging with each other and meeting new people.

Over the last few days, we have reached out to a select few trusted members in the gay community (you know who you are) and have asked them for their candid feedback. The response has been wonderful and the suggestions have been great. We plan to include all of the feedback into the site over the coming weeks. So, please keep your advice coming - we are listening to everything you have to say to us and will work together with you to build a dating site that we can all be proud of! So, here we are - what was an idea in February has now resulted in us launching My Dostana on the day India got her independence. How fitting since our goal has been to further the gay movement in India and empower gay men to find their partners and embrace the gay community around them.

We encourage you to go to our site and meet and chat with other gay men, join our gay community, search for gay friendly events and businesses across India, seek advice, ask questions and browse through our marketplace. It is free for everyone and we welcome you to join us at My Dostana and become a member.

We will be reaching out to a select number of gay men across India over the next few weeks and encouraging you to join our site and give us your feeback. We want to represent you and want you to feel directly responsible for helping shape this site and community over the coming months.

1 Week Before We Go Live!

What had started as a vision and a goal for us to be part of a movement and make a difference will now turn into reality in a matter of 7 days. On August 15, when India announces her freedom, we will launch My Dostana , an online dating and community site for gays in India. This site will be part of the gay movement in India and will play a role in connecting gays in India with each other and empowering them to be part of the community.

We have worked very hard and for many months to make this possible. It is said that "Connections are what gives purpose and meaning to our lives" and so please go ahead and connect and find each other. We thank you for allowing us to be your online platform of choice.
